Rider Call by Plyntr
This policy explains how Plyntr LLC ("Plyntr", "we", "us") handles information when you use Rider Call.
No account, no profile, no recordings. The relay holds your IP address in memory only while the ride is active (dropped about 10 minutes after it goes idle, 60 seconds for a solo rider). Your display name, ride code and resume ticket stay in the relay's memory so you can reconnect, and are deleted about 24 hours after your last activity. No rider data is written to disk, and the relay does not write IP addresses to logs. There is no database of users, rides, or voice.
When you Create or Join a ride, the app opens the microphone. The mic stays live during a ride unless you tap Mute. While muted, no audio is sent. Incoming audio still plays while muted. Mute stays on through a reconnect. Each new ride starts unmuted. There is no push-to-talk button. Audio is sent as UDP to Plyntr’s relay in AWS Mumbai (13.200.168.189 and that host’s IPv6 address, UDP 47000). The relay forwards it live to the other riders in that ride. Voice is never recorded or stored.
Voice is not end-to-end encrypted. It travels as plain UDP through the relay.
Some of these show a prompt.
No analytics, ads, or crash SDKs in the app. App dependencies are Flutter, cupertino_icons, ffi, and Opus. Rider Call is free.
